Penticton Chapter Comments

SPOKE cyclists were warmly welcomed in Penticton by Council of Canadians, Penticton Chapter members and the public, very quickly followed by Whole Food Market’s Richard Hunt and his staff, hosting SPOKE to a marvellous organic lunch.  As you can imagine, having just cycled from Princeton, the students were ravenous.  SPOKE were quite delighted to see a good selection of organic foods at Whole Food Market, including organic beef.  After the SPOKE cyclists had finished their lunch, they were treated further to donations of more organic foods, especially staples, to see them through the next few days.  We, on behalf of the Council of Canadians, Penticton Chapter, who sponsored the SPOKE presence in Penticton, want to whole-heartedly thank Richard Hunt and the staff of Whole Food Market, for such a wonderfully warm reception, luncheon and donations of organic foods, to such an energetic group of students.  As the shopping bag that SPOKE took with them, from Whole Food Market, read: “Don’t Panic, Eat Organic”.

Thanks to the kindness & generosity of the all the staff at Penticton Whole Foods Market, with special thanks to Bob for your great shopping suggestions!
