Bike Ride & Food Festival

Peterborough’s Ecology Park will be the host site of Peterborough’s first ever “Organic Festival of Food” Sunday, July 30th as S.P.O.K.E (Students Promoting Organic Kinship with the Environment) rides into the city at 3:00 PM.  This is the 9th event of this kind the group has arranged across Canada to raise public awareness of the many environmental and health benefits of organic farming.

Members of the public are encouraged to join their ride from Charlotte St to the Ecology Park, where the festival will be held from 1 - 5.  Members of SPOKE, Canadian Organic Growers (COG) and local organic producers will provide information about organic food and where it can be found in the Peterborough region.  Local organic food suppliers and other “sustainability” minded businesses will be present at the festival. Organic food and music will be plentiful.  All are invited!!!
