User interface design gone wrong

September 28, 2016

Good design is invisible.

You know the saying, good design is invisible. But when it sucks, it can stick you in the eye. A bad user interface design can also lead to some serious errors! Take the scene in the video snippet below as an example.

It’s from Monsters vs. Aliens, one of my all-time favourite movies. It’s the dire brainstorming session of the President’s inner security circle. As a lover of good design and of good coffee, I chuckle at this scene every time. In the midst of the group’s attempt to resolve the Alien invasion, the President almost makes a fatal error.

It’s a hilarious demonstration from the people at Pixar of user interface design gone wrong.
It speaks for itself. Enjoy!
